Default Oil Pressure Switch

My 82SC has been leaking oil, not too much, but enough that since it drops in the right spot, it smokes quite a bit for the first 20 or so minutes of driving. Based on where it's dripping, from all the searching on the forum I've done, I suspect it's the oil pressure switch (or possibly the thermo gasket, but I'm being optimistic). Also, my feeling that since it tends to smoke more when it's cold out, I'm guessing switch because the plastic shrinks when it's cold...? I can't seem to get a straight answer on the easiest way to replace that switch. Do I only need to remove the mass airflow sensor boot and air filter housing, and get a mirror and a wrench extension to get at it? Or, do I really need to a) remove the airbox or b) do a partial or full engine drop?

First, there is a real danger of fire if the leak is dripping onto the three into one pipe connection under the engine oil cooler.

Second, a partial engine drop is necessary to replace the switch and thermostat o-ring on an SC.
