Default New Tires (& Photos!)

Hi all,

Just wanted to share some pics from my mountain drive last weekend. I just put new tires on the car: Bridgestone RE-11 - 205/55-16 -- 245/45-16

Could not be more happy. I had a very annoying shimmy at 65-75mph on my old tires and was hoping new rubber would eliminate the issue. I'm happy to say the car is smooth as glass now at any speed!

In any case, hope you enjoy the pics...

That's one clean looking car and some great looking pictures, what did you have on there before ? Was that first picture taken on the parkway ?

The car had BF Goodrich tires on from the PO. The car saw very little driving love before I purchased so while the tires had plenty of tread they needed to be replaced.

That photo was taken on the Cherohala Skyway last Friday. The others are at our cabin in Otto, NC.

Headed up to the Highlands NC today for another weekend of spirited driving

That was a good call, those older tires tend to not do so well at higher speeds after they have been sitting for a while. How many miles are on the 911?

I hope next year to make it down to that area for fall peak foliage, it just so beautiful, just seems I always get so busy this time of year. Enjoy your weekend and drive safe.

Very nice!! Those tires look great - let us know your thoughts on performance once you get used to them!

Great to hear.
I'm planning on the same tires next spring, since they have now re-issued the 245/45-16.
I'd love to know how your experience goes as they age.

I'll continue to post on my experience with these tires as they do settle in. I'm loving them right now though...

as a data point I have had my car just under 3 years and have gone through 4 complete sets of brand new tires - 2 street sets and 2 track sets

new tires are like oil changes - pretty frequent
