Default Heater Question

On the two heat selection levers between the seats on my 82 911SC their is a slot on one and a bolt on the other so it appears they should be hooked together? The temp sensor above the rear view was not their when I bought the car last year and is apparently unavailable. Do I need it? The cables seem to open and close the doors by the heat exchangers OK and the blower comes on but no air comes out in the cab. Where do I look next? I will post some pictires when I get the interior done. All that is left is the ceiling liner. My first P-Car and I am hooked.
Thanks, Tom

if you have two levers i would say you have manual heat therefore there is no thermister
pics would help

the blower is very weak by modern standards. and just barely defogs at idle.

Per the Katalog, you have footwell blowers in the kick panels on each side up front. I'll bet the motors are seized or the relays or fuses are blown. there are three screws holding each cover up. Remove one and see what I am talking about.

Default Heater

I have the automatic temp controller. Sorry forgot to mention that. I am some what dismayed to hear that is all the force that blower puts out. Is the sensor above the mirror important? This is a Euro car would that make a difference? Tom

If your rear blower is working and the footwell blowers are working, pull the two heater levers all the way open and you should have heat. If the footwell blowers are not working, they act as restrictors in each line and hardly anything comes through except at high rpm's. I assume you have the 3 speed fan.

I may have stuck footwell blowers. My radio puts out more heat than my heater. LOL
