Default remove carpet and underlayment?

I just got a used Safety Devices roll cage. Doing the test fitting today, I had to peel back the carpet around the mounting feet and remove some trim panels; rear seats are already gone.

I had planned on refitting some carpet, but now I'm thinking of ripping all the carpet and some of the underlayment out and cleaning off all the old glue and just leaving the bare paint.

This is mostly a DE car, but I do drive it on the street some. Is it going to be super noisy without the carpet and rear seat soundproofing?

About what I figured. OK, I'll leave the carpet and underlayment for now and just cut out the pieces around the mounting plates.
