Default Question on detailing 911

How often do you do it?
I would think that many detailing involving buffing the paint will be bad for the long run of the paint. I am thinking of doing it before storing the car for the winter. Any recommended placed in the greater Washington DC area? What is the going rate for the job?

I'd buff that thing every night.

I usually do some touch-up detailing every couple of months. Otherwise, I wash it every week or so. Buffing with a polish, usually done for some form of paint correction, shouldn't be something you do often. However, your non-abrasive waxes and sealants should not harm your paint assuming you're using the proper applicators and buffers.

Unless you are an expert, I wouldn't use a buffer. good old hand rubbing and polishing. Using a clay bar will help immensely, in my opinion.

Full detailing? Once a month max... sometimes once every three months. My toy car, whatever it may be at the time, is always kept in a closed garage and not driven in weather. I always take trash when I get out or fill up at the gas station.

If the paint is clean just a light application of p21 is all you need. Remember wax will evaporate so cover it up. That will help. I buy the s100 at the harley dealer. Its the same stuff only less expensive.

Here's the 107
