I had the Rat repainted, bumpers/doors/windows off/out etc. Before it went to the body shop we pulled the motor to do synchro-leaks -heater boxes. We started it Sunday night and she fired right up; hoo-ray! But after a check we found no lights at the left rear tail light and l/r plate lamp are out and have no power! So in searching for the cause, am I more likely to find that the bumper being put back on or the engine going back in would have caused this? Brake lights and directionals work fine, also the right plate lamp. I'm worried we might have pinched something when the engine went in. Any help would be apreciated; NER Ramble this weekend with 120+ P cars and I'm hoping to be one of them..

Hello
Depending on the MY it is very hard to do something wrong to the lights while you work on the engine.
The only light relatet thing is the backuplight.
Other thing is that you have a problem with the engine lid mountet illumination or something else strictly light circuit relatet.
No power means blown fuse ( front trunk ) Or missing power from the light switch ?

Thanks for your reply; you may have hit on something with the engine compartment light as I noticed at one point just before doing the work that it was on all the time. ALL of the other lights at the rear are working fine and when we put the engine back in we had the small amount of wiring there is well out of the way. Someone else has suggested a ground at the rear lamp as well and I'm going to check these tonight. Thanks again! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
