I guess the question is-did you ever have the cap off before, and did it do the same? If you hadn't, how did you know if it had any oil?

If you had, and it didnt, what have you had apart?

Default air flow restrictor, thanks for the photos

I'll give you a 99% chance that it'll fix the problem!

I had the opposite problem: when I removed the oil filler cap, the engine idle didn't change one bit. Three hoses were replaced and now it drops slightly just like it should...no more vacuum leak.

Check the OBVIOUSLY SIMPLE first,..verify that restrictor is place,..then go from there.

Still haven't found time to check the hose... my battery decided to drop a cell so it wasn't holding a charge, so getting the new battery took priority over the hose. Should be able to get all this sorted out tomorrow!

Hmmm... looks like I have that other odd looking fitting. Its all intact, I can't see any cracks... could this little valve have gone bad?

Also, I saw this fitting that seemingly has no hose at all... any ideas?

Added the flow restrictor to the breather hose, solved the problem with the car stalling when oil fill/dipstick cap removed. Thanks for the tip, Peter!

Default Have same problem---can't find parts....

O.k., I have same issue and my rubber piece is also cracked in multiple places. Pelican doesn't have the rubber piece in stock anymore. Any ideas where to source this? It's called a reduction pipe and # is 930-207-243-01

See diagram attached.

Thanks.
