Question Wheel weights

Visited the garage area at Indy, and noticed that they cover up the wheel weights with Duct tape (In the Army we call it 100mph tape). Then, At a DE I noticed that a fellow with a 930 had done the same thing. Why? I can't believe that the slight frontal cross section of the wheel weight would be appreciably improved by this???

Horst,

Keeps the wheel weights ON the wheel! The tape usually works very well at keeping it where it belongs and not being spun off at high speeds!

Are you in Springfield Mo? Will be there this weekend for my HS reunion!
