Parting is such sweet sorrow....
My 89 Baltic Blue coupe went away today. Sold to a fellow Rennlister who I'm sure will enjoy it. Great guy who now has a great car. Best of luck to Ian (MrBonus) and his lovely wife.
Onward and upward. Looking for a clean 993 or later 964 to replace it with. Need to find something soon because the empty spot in my garage is already a bit unnerving.

I've been looking for a replacement for the past few months and my new search has proven to be just an (un) enjoyable as the last one. People who have zero clue about their cars. Pretty sure some believe their car has about 30% gold content ($38k for a 70k mile 95 993???). I won't even go into the annoying dealers I've run across (both now and in the past).
Oh, needless to say, none of the above have been encountered here. The interaction I've had with fellow Rennlisters has been all very positive.
But, yeah it's probably worth it in the end. Wondering whether I'll find another blue one that works for me. And no, it won't be the $100k Riviera Blue S that's got the 993 board abuzz....

Of course, there are some good dealers out there who specialize in P-cars & know what they are doing, but I'd MUCH rather buy a used car from an enthusiest than a salesman.

That's short for 964. I'm just testing ya. Thanks for the compliments. It's a nice car, even for one of the worst model years of 911 production ever (along with the flags, 4x4 ride height and near universally hated D90's).

I am absolutely loving the car, Sean. Searching for the right air-cooled Porsche takes time (I've had the pleasure of doing it twice) and is often frustrating but finding the right one is such a fantastic feeling.
I got a chance to clean her up after the ride home to Delaware and the paint is amazingly good for a 23 year old car.

Love blue myself (own 2) ... My local dealer refers to blue P cars as "No Sale Blue", as they are the most difficult to sell.

Not even close. Anyone here worked on these in the wheelhouse of 2.7L era repair? Or even the (then merely old, now ancient) MFI cars? I'll even throw out that the short wheelbase models are pretty bad, at least as I saw them at 15-25 years old.
