Question Oil Cooler Leak

I have a leak that seems to be from the top of the oil cooler in an 88 targa. It looks impossible to get at without dropping the engine. Does anyone have experience with this problem? Should I drop the engine and do a few other preventive tasks as well? Can I accomplish what I need to do w/ a partial drop? Is there some way to get at the cooler without dropping at all? Thanks for any support and suggestions. Have a good new year. Larry

You can get to it with a partial drop. It's tight, but you can get to it.

Directions on how to do a partial engine drop are on tech.rennlist.com under 911 engines. You'd be surprised at how much you can get at with a partial engine drop.
