Post Paint headers and muffler??

What should I do to my headers and muffler. SOme mild surface rust. Should I sand these and paint with high temp paint or have them jet hot coated. What would you do with them???

On the muffler, I've sanded and used hi-temp paint with success.

Hi:

As David pointed out, there is no better header paint than the superb VHT products. Nothing comes close. Like all paint jobs, preparation is everything!

That said, any and all paints do not compare to a properly applied ceramic-metallic coating (inside & out) for durability and longevity. That's the ultimate protection for any mild steel header.

You get what you pay for,....
