When did the 911 adopt OBD2
I googled for a bit and couldn't find an answer so I thought id post. Do you guys know the first year the 911 came with OBD 2?
I want to say 94 maybe 95 based on other experience but it could be different with Porsche.
Thanks.

"in light of the possible frustration of OBDII and SAI issues."
But there's always some tradeoff: i.e. The '96 and later have VarioRam
which provides more low end torque. So for some, the SAI/monitors
headache is worth the extra torque.

Yes, Porsche kept extracting more out of the air-cooled engines right up until the end. But the OBD2 computer is a trickier dancing partner when it comes to things like defeating drive block security when the engine is swapped into a pre-3.6 car. It can be defeated, but it's more costly. And adapting the DME programming to things like a lighter flywheel is also much simpler on the OBD1 engines.

I assume it passes through a heat exchanger and meets up with the rest of the exhaust afterwards?
Got anywhere I can go to see a 360 of the engine in its assembled state? I went to pelican parts and they got a build there, but the guy took pictures at all the wrong angles.
Anyone measure the difference in spool characteristics with it and without it on turbocharged engines?
