98Vette, there's a very clean looking 911 cab at D&M Motorsports in Glen Ellyn. I don't know anything about it (I was peeking at it through the window today, & they were closed), but it looks extremely clean.
They probably would take the vette in on trade too, since they always have several on the lot.

I think a Corvette is great sportscar. The engine sound is very very very nice of allmost any engine in the Corvettes if there isn't too much mufflers going on. That said, watching other drivers racing the *** out of their Porsches and Corvettes yesterday at the Nordschleiffe (mine is completing a body restoration, so no driving for me), the old Porsches with less mufflers in their exhasut systems sound EPIC. I sometimes think they sound like these old war aircrafts, even in Germany the old Porsches remain very special.
If you will be missing power, save your penny's for a 930 (coupe), those are really rocket ships espescially if tickeled a little bit in the engine bay (or buy a 3.2 cab with recent engine rebuild and install a small Turbo later on...) A 964 C2 convertible isn't you choice I assume (since you are posting on this forum)?
To add to your search: try buying the lightest 911 cab. The less weight, the more fun (I think)
