I've never been a fan of the 944, but this add has me reconsidering.

I can get 944 donors all day on craigslist here in Dallas for 2k and under.
Front engine though.

Time to go ask on the 944 frorm about that . It is a different animal to the 911 all together..

They have been trying to move that car since god Feb if not earlier

So here's some rough prices to think about if/when you end up looking at a 911 that isn't in great condition.

An engine rebuild for a 3.0 is ~$10-15k
Rebuilding the 915 tranny is $3500 or so
A suspension refresh back to stock is $4000
Redoing the brakes is about a grand depending on what you're replacing.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. Yeah its sounding like this would be a bad platform for my idea. Oh well that's why I asked first ;^)

Lots of other platforms out there.
