Default Ohio is a terrible place for early Porsches!

A Bleak & Desolate Wasteland For Porsches

This was an emotional experience for me. I could not help but to think of the joy someone once felt when they bought the car when it was new. How did they get to this state?

Oh, there are many cars there that I contemplated saving. Fortunately for me, nobody was around, and I have not had the courage to call back to talk prices...

Link is interesting, but the "4-cam Heaven" story is a contrapositive to the wasting old cars.

I still think this car should have been inside or covered. It was one of the only nice cars there, and it got dumped on with snow later that day.

Short wheelbase with Fuchs...possible S. Those "oscar" rally lights are getting hard to find too.
I'm curious about the 356 they were so kind to cover with a bedliner.

I would have been writing down vins, especially on those 356s. I had in my possession a RHD 1965 912 a few years back. It was rusty but given where things have gone on early cars I was a fool to sell the thing for $500. Today I don't want to think what that chassis is worth...

Oh, now that's rough. I like Rauh Welt cars. Nakai San is an artist, and so long as you view his cars as art, they make a lot more sense.

Just because you are not a fan of 19th Century Impressionism, that doesn't mean you should be mad at Claude Monet for ruining a perfectly good 13x16 profile cotton canvas.
