Post Reduce Weight in 80sc

What are some practical ways one can reduce the weight of a 1980sc targa? I do mostly street driving and plan to do some DE events. Thanks!

Here's some lightening things to do, which somewhere cross the line between sensible reductions and more expensive reductions: Take the a/c out (compressor, condensor, lines, blower, etc), that's good for maybe 50-60 lbs. Install single pulley for alternator only. Lose the rear blower motor, and install pre-74 (Turbo also used) hoses to the heat exchangers - another couple of pounds saved there (plus you clean up the engine compartment). Lightweight starter. You can put racing seats in. You can strip interior insulation and/or bottom undercoating. Take the back seats out. Hollow torsion bars. Fit RS America door panels. Remove the rear firewall insulation. Lightweight flywheel. Fiberglass or carbon parts: bumpers front and rear, fenders, front hood, rear lid, doors. Lightened axles, lightened CV joints. Lighter brake rotors. There are other actions, I'm sure others will add. You just have to decide how serious you are and how much you want to spend after the basic rip stuff out is done.

Here are some easy ones.

Fill tank only half full
Remove spare, tool kit, compressor
Put in smaller battery
Lose the catalytic converter
Remove front crossmember cover

And the hardest one.

Go on a diet!
