Early 911 braking

We recently culminated a restoration/improvement project on a '67 911. The motor was rebuilt as a 2.4 and provides much more power than the stock 2.0. The brakes at the time were rebuilt to stock specifications with stock pads, however I am finding them very inadequate. Does anyone have any ideas/experiences with brake upgrades for early 911's? Would you go with an SC or Carrera set up? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

First hurdle is getting the later struts with 3.5" caliper mounting spacing on them (so you can put vented discs). Hmmm, actually can't remember if the '67S already had this?
Short answer - I have a '69 with alloy 911S front calipers on SC struts and M calipers at the back. I have gone for 24mm thick Carrera discs (possible with the 911S front calipers if you use thinner pads). If I were you I would go for SC spec all around (thinner discs), but consider alloy S brakes at front if you can find them cheap enough.
I have a 19mm unassisted master cylinder. I ummed and ahhhed about 930 brakes because I have ~270hp... You have ~190, so just copy either SC or what the '72/3 911S had.

Cam,
Did you have to trim any part of the S caliper to fit them over the Carrera rotors?
