Default Stolen '74 911 mystery - Scottsdale, AZ

I know this is stretching it as far as 928 content but some members in LA or AZ may be of help and I know there are some savy web research types here.

Someone had their 911 stolen and I've been following this thread and the interesting tidbit of someone in LA posting in CL asking for a VIN#.

I can't resist a mystery like this and enjoy helping victims of thieves.

Copied to OT & 911 forum too.

928 content rule on hold, I would hope the 911 community would help one of us find a stolen shark.

Looking carefully at these two pictures there do seem to be differences

I would say these are not the same chassis,
so maybe there is still hope,
look at the rockers on both chassis they are clearly different,
as the stripe is also missing who takes time to remove a stripe on a stolen chassis?
the targa bar looks matte finish on the stripped car yours look polished
Paint on the A pillar is also dingy on the stripped car, yours glistens

Even stripped I'm sure the owner would know his car right away. A thorough check of the VIN will tell the truth.

After seeing this and reading the article in Excellence, I think if my car was stolen I wouldn't want them to find it. Unless it was found almost immediately, with no damage, I wouldn't want it back.
