Post 84 cab question

Hi everyone
Has anyone ever replaced the headliner on a cab? Do you have to remove the top?

I want to replace mine as well. The dealer here in the Monterey area referred me to a place, Rick's Foreign (Prunedale) that supposedly does all the upholstery work for them. I've called re: the price and gotten no response. Maybe to busy.
I have found the headliner piece on the internet for about $38, supposed to be the real german thing. Never considered doing it myself but maybe someone out there can tell us both how it's done.

Anyone know any good places in the Monterey area that would do this? I may have to go the next PCA meeting and ask.

86,

Here's a referral I got from Melissa Mann on the 964 board last year:

I used Jeda Generations in San Jose, and yes, they have extensive experience with Porsches & cab tops. They were recommended by my mechanic. Their phone number is 408-224-5552, ask for Jack (the owner).
