Post where can I get a carrera wing?

I just got an 86 Carrera, white, with a turbo wing. Where can I get a good Carrera wing or plain-jane hood w/ Carrera script to replace the turbo wing?
If anyone's got what I'm looking for and wants to exchange for a turbo wing or just sell to me, feel free to drop me a line at tprountzos@jgn.com. I'm in the S.F. Bay Area.

Hi T.P.!

I recently purchased a 1988 911 Carrera Coupe that came without the rear wing. I wanted to install the "correct" spoiler, same as was supplied by the factory at the time the car was manufactured. I checked several web parts outlets and a complete Porsche O.E.M. Carrera rear wing assembly would cost about $1K plus shipping. So, I started watching Rennlist's own classified section and found that these parts were regularly available from that source at much lower prices. I purchased a complete rear wing/engine deck lid assy. from a fellow in the L.A. area that had been taken off of an '88 911.

By the way, you might check with Hendricks Porsche in Charlotte at 800-315-8193. I understand that they discount Porsche parts and they discount up to 30% for PCOA members. You might be able to get a new Porsche O.E.M. tail for you car at the a cost similar to that being charged for used parts.

Hope this helps.

Go to the PCA web page...look for the local regions. Go through the PCA regions closest to you and check out their classified sections. I start local and work out..I would like to see the part before the cash changes hands. <img src="graemlins/bigok.gif" border="0" alt="[thumbsup]" />

I got a really good deal on a perfect Carrera wing from a local bodyshop that specializes in Porsches. Sometimes they'll have one laying around. Check your yellow pages.

Hi T.P.

Try the guys over at Parts Heaven. They're over in Hayward, so they're very local. They usually have alot of good salvage parts on site. 1-800-767-7250

Good Luck with the tail...
