Muffler Question

I'm pretty sure this is a silly question with an obvious answer, but I wanted to put it out there and get some opinions.
I have a shiny new Fabspeed muffler and cat bypass setup on my car now. It's the single inlet, dual outlet variety. But, have the 2nd outlet capped off.
I don't want to cut another hole in my valence as I'm perfectly happy with the stock look. But, I was thinking about removing the cap and adding a simple turn-down that would be hidden behind the valence.
Is this a very bad idea due to heat and fumes? I'm assuming it is...
thanks,

JC, I'm no expert but I'll offer my opinion.
I think you answered your own question... I would agree that you would want the exhaust to be directed away from the car not under it. While in motion I guess it would be fine due to airflow, but while the car is sitting still idling you could have CO pooling under the car and potentially enter the passenger area.

Not so sure it would be problem when moving, but perhaps at idle. The lack of symmetry would gnaw at my brain, however.
An option is to buy a new valance, Vertex used to have new repros for under $100 IIRC, cut it and have it painted. I think there are but 5 fasteners and you can switch them out, keeping the original.

Uncap it and cut! You will love the way it looks and sounds.

Might be best to leave it. With the 2 out you will likely get the dreaded 2 out drone at 2500 rpm's. I have the 2 out Dansk that I keep capped except for track use....makes it much more usable day to day.
