That ebay one better have a winning lottery ticket in it.

Snap On makes a good socket tool with a magnet. It's short and stubby, so you can move it around in the head to get the right angle to hand thread the spark plug, with minimal chance of cross threading.

Otherwise, the factory tool kit spark plug socket is better than the straight ones. You can find them on Ebay and in the Pelican classifieds, or through the Porsche dealer.

It's the 5/8". Discovered that despite my having a half dozen spark plug sockets, the factory tool was the only one that fit in the head.

funny thing i found the same .. i have a garage full of very expensive and assorted tools .. but i always end up breaking out my factory tool kit for the plugs and belt ... go figure .. damn Germans .. I am sure they lost the war coz somebody lost the Tiger Tank turret Calibration tool ..

Yep, my current avatar is just my Craftsman 3/8" drive sockets. Not one of them will pull that one plug on the 911.
