Default Porsche 911 battery replacement options

Hello
I have had 3 batteries die in my 2002 911 cab (limited use during winter) and just purchased the new Duralast Platinum AGM ($180) and there is no venting on this battery. Is this going to be a problem or does the AGM not require venting and i should be ok. Also, what is a good battery tender to purchase - i need to get one
thanks

Can't comment on the battery...I have a standard size 48 red top Duralast in my '87 Carrera which IS vented.

Regarding the battery tender, I've used the Deltran Battery Tender for years with no problems. They are great. Even the smaller .75V "Junior" version works fine.

Here's the Deltran website: http://batterytender.com/automotive.html

You can get better prices via online sources.
