Default Re-index FRONT ride height adjusters

Well, I successfully adjusted the rear ride height and yes I now know the meaning of re-indexing those *&$^ things.

Now, I need to adjust the front. I know there is a ride height adjuster, however, I am at limit on it, therefore I need to reindex the adjuster.

I found where Peter Zimmerman suggested this.

"Put a long screwdriver/prybar through the control arm (over the top of the narrow tube and under the big tube that has the bushings at each end) and pull down. Install the end cap as near the middle as possible, install the height adjuster bolt and put the car on the ground....make adjustements as neccessary."

My question would be.....once you have pulled down on the prybar does this end cap pull off ? How is it attached so that you can move it to re-index it ?

The way i did mine after i removed the Tbars to change my front arm bushings was to keep your front end supported by jacks at approx ride height then you remove the end caps and reinsert them with the adjuster set in the middle position.
It's harder to explain than to actually do it ... lol

Of course the access is not great but once the end caps are on you could remove the jacks and adjust your ride height accordingly !

Cheers !

Well after reading a bit more and thinking about it....

It looks like what may work is to simply back out the adjustment screw entirely, then I suspect the end cap can be wiggled out,(Peters method above) then you put the end cap back in (reindexed) and screw in the adjustement screw.....well, at least thats what I intend to try.

Done.....my advice, use 2 jacks (jackstands don't allow you to put the car at desired ride height) and its probably a 20 min job.
