I checked Tire Rack, and they show no inventory. Since the RE71's were discontinued, was it last year? they may be tough to find.

Hi Steve,

You'll be real lucky if you find a new one. I've used RE-71s on my car since purchased (1992), and I recently had to swap to RE-730s (replacement for the RE-71). The Tirerack had absolutely no RE-71s to sell me.

How much tread is on your good RE-71?

Unfortunately RE-71s have also dropped off the inventory lists here in Europe as well. I believe a few may still available in England. I think it is time now to look for alternatives. When they were available here in Switzerland they were the most expensive road tyre,

PS: You may also find them in Japan but again it is going to get very expensive.

Try Wheel Enhancement. About a year ago I bought some 225's RE71's, at that time Tire Rack only had the 205's

I will be taking a couple RE71s off my car.

Just bought the car and swapping them off for some Yokohamas. Tread should be pretty good. I think they only have a few thousand or so on em.
