Got home from work to a celebrate my 50 th birthday with my wife and 2 sons. Great dinner and then they present me with a photo frame with pieces of a picture cut up like a puzzle. I proceed to assembly and see the image emerge with my sons (18 and 20 years old) watching with as much excitement as I was feeling. The gift for a 50 year old who has always been into cars and bought his first Porsche only 18 months ago is the 2 day Porsche Racing School at Barber Race Track in Alabama! As I said, I am so pumped. Looking now at when I will attend ... Likely in late June. Anyone ever done that school?

Booked the Performance Driving School at Birmingham Skip Barber School for June 19-20. Bonus is that I fly through Houston so will have a chance to stop in to visit with my son who will be there on an engineering work term.

It's a great time. Enjoy it! As for Hurley, don't think he's there much. Wasn't there when I went last year. Jeff is manager of operations and spends all of his time organizing the school. He was there but didn't do any in-car instruction.
All of them are great, but one of the perennial favorites is Daniel Eastman. Those Brazilians can drive
