The zenith years of the 911 are 87-89. The G50 is a big reason for that.

Agreed, but should one walk away from a extremeyl well cared for example of a pre-87 car. That's the question I ask. I even know the answer to that.

Absolutely,...if you find a pristine pre 1987 car for a good price and like the way it drives, go for it. These cars evolved very slowly. The 1987 was a small but good evolution point.
