Cool Central locking?

Everything is sweet & cool with the new Silver turbolook. One question only... it does not appear to have central locking. Was it an option in ´84, or do I have a non-functioning one...?

Thanks

Carlos. ´84 Silver Turbolook

Carlos:

I believe (for the US market at least) that central locking was optional in 1984.

If your car did have central locking (power locks), the button would be 'centrally' located in the center console under the A/C controls.

Hope this helps,
Jay

Cool

OK... well it does not have the button in the center console, there is only a "wheel", which I don´t know what it is for... I guess it does not have central locking

Thanks!

Cool

After finally determining that the car has no central locking, next question is... can I install one? Would the original system be "installable" or would I be better off getting an aftermarket system?

Thanks!

Don't mess.
Leave it as is, the way it came.
If you have a need to cut and splice, put electric mirrors on your girlfriends Toyota for a Christmas present.
Cheers,
Mrdi
