Yeah, make sure the engine is warmed up first, and the DME is not trying to raise the idle. If it's off center, then the DME could be bad, or one of the ICV servos could be bad.

I took my car to the dealer to get a multi point inspection. Not sure if that is the same as a PPI, but I let the guy know that I was experiencing a high idle. Apparently, the high idle was a non-issue and he didn't seem bothered by it and said the car ran fine? I guess I'll just live with it. There is also an exhaust leak by the aftermarket cat converters. Wondering if that has anything to do with it.

On another note. He said the clutch will need replacing because the release ( engagement ) is really high, but I heard this was a common occurrence on the G50. This is also suspect because there is a record of the clutch being replaced about 15k miles ago. What do you guys think? Is everyone else experiencing a high friction point on their G50?

Default Vaccum lines.

Have a look at these vaccum lines behind the throttle assy, and the pcv valve.
