Post Wheel Choices for early 911?

HI all,

New to the scene, and just about to pull the trigger on a 72 T. My question is, are there *any* other wheel choices besides Fuchs? (and repros of Fuchs...) I think I can fit 15X7 with 205/50-15 tires. I can possibly fit 16 X 7 as well. (You tell me...)

Any links would be appreciated.

Thanks,

mto

No, there are no 'other' wheels, that complete the classic 911 Look. IMHO... Why would you not want Fuchs?

I asked a similar question for the early 911. It is available here.

You can use cookie cutter wheels which came on a number of early porsches. I have a 72 911t an run 15x7 for the track.

If I am not mistaken, one of the moe difficult issues has to do with the bolt circle. Thereis the Porsche bolt circle and the others.

If you would rather not have Fuchs, I think Cookie Cuters where an option or if you do not want not to be "factory" correct, there may be a BBS wheel or a later year phone dial.

How about the steel wheels? They were standard on the earlier T's, not sure about 72.

minilites look great on older porsches. here is a picture of John Thorntons 1967 912R (#902), with minilites. will cost you to get em though. we priced em at 1200.. not including shipping from england, where they are made and sold. they do weigh a little more than fuchs though too (acording to Thornton).

cookie cutters will work, so will the old school basket weave gold bbs wheels (wish they had em in 15x6 so i could put em on my 68 912)
