Default Seine shifter mod

Just put the Seine shifter mod on my car this afternoon and really like the 'gated'
shift feel. Makes it very dif to mistake a gear as 1st/2nd are solidly spring loaded now and the shifter 'seeks' the 3rd/4th slot.
Makes one wonder why Porsche didn't just add a set of opposite centering springs in the first place.
Or is it simply 'more sporting' when one can throw it into the wrong slot without much effort?
BTW, the kit is straight fwd, good inst. and the hardest part is pulling out the center counsole if you have AC controls there. Need to drill a bit and a quick weld too. Nice.
