#1180001 - 11801267 would be a '68 911S with an engine number
for a 5 speed type 901/07 4080001 - 4081549 and
for a Sporto type 901/08 4180001 - 4180227

The gearbox for the 5 speed would be a 901/02
and for a Sporto a 906/01.

Hope that helps.

Those numbers don't exactly coincide, appropriate number of digits for '68 engine would be seven ,six
digits would indicate 64-67 ,Bert

It looks like engine #'s 6193001 - 6193297 would be from a '69 T Sporto and be a type 901/13 if it was 6193111.

There are no 5 digit engine #'s so it could also be a '65 in the range 900361 - 903550 if the number on the case was a 903111

Default Engine 6193111

If you have engine number 6193111 I would like to hear from you as it came in my 69T but has been missing for 30 years, funnily my T has a 68s engine in it. Toby from Australia
