Unless you have a GT2 or Ruf ?? And if you do I would be happy to get whooped by one of those. Lol

Yea the V8 guys really get chapped when they get beat by 151 cubic inches. Lol
Blockhed does not have a Ruf or GT2 but I don't think he needs 30 days

Actually I forgot to tell you once the 2.8 is done I'm getting vanity plates. "EATSV8S". Lol
Stock 951s out there are few and far these days. I have outran mild bolt on 996T's with both of my 951s, 997 Carrera S's, now I keep my dash mount camera in my car at all times LOL

People with big egos and big V8's always have excuses as to why they get whooped by a 4 cyl or a 911 or whatever it may be. Turbo FTW
Judging by your signature your are running a nice modified car, I would love to run you this coming spring. I have raced mild bolt on 996T's (Tune, Exhaust, BOVs) but never a full build. A couple people in my cruising group will be participating in the Texas Mile in 2012, I extend a open invite to all rennlisters to tag along and participate.

Come to the mainland this summer! Texas Mile 2012! I never got a clean run in any of my 951s at the track, my 1988's stock clutch couldnt hold the power and my 1986 loved spinning the tires. Do you have the 915 transaxle? If so I would strongly suggest you avoid the strip.

The Yellow Vette, its a 2008 Hertz ZHZ Corvette that he purchased at a auction in 2009.

As noted, forced induction makes up for displacment. Then you talk modifications on top of that in your little scenario. Play fair and put a turbo on the 911, and "a few mods", and the food chain stays as it should be.

The FIA had a formula back in the heyday of racing, forced induction counted for a 50% increasement in displacement. You could run up to the low 3 liters with a turbo, and compete with 5 liter NA cars.
I have had my fair share of racing 911s and the turbo's have been the only ones to keep up/embarrass me. Win or lose, who cares whos car is faster. At the end of the day its all about having fun and being happy with the car you own.
