This is a great project. I love budget horse power!!

I was thinking about this the other day. Getting the parts from ebay and a junk yard 930 and just installing on n/a. That is cool!

I wonder if this would work on a 964?

WOW, that silverstone video is of my car that I built in 08 I think. I kept it for a while and then sold it to Steve in the UK. It's been going for years afaik. Last update I had of that car, from Steve, was maybe 18 months ago (maybe 2 years) He was in weight reduction mode.

if you search my name at PP you will find a **** ton of all the info anyone needs to do this correctly.
SO many memories

I'd like to know if he's still running with the RRFPR. Its a terrible substitute for real fuel management. I would never trust it on an aircooled engine let alone on a water cooled one. For 250 bucks you can have a megasquirt with infinite capability and at this price point, why wouldnt you? I'd also be curious how the OBX manifold is holding up, in the miata circles we stay away from their **** like the plague.

I'm also curious to see what caused the turbo to fail. Depending on how low its mounted the oil may have been draining poorly which caused it to coke up and burn the bearings. Do you guys know if factory cars use an oil scavenging pump or are they mounted high?

they use an oil catch can, but you can get oil scavenging pumps to elimate those if you want, more than likely what caused the problem... I have to agree with the MS, converting the motronic to megasquirt with a MAP, and wideband would be a lot more accurate method of fuel management

Where's EURONAVY? I want an update, and more details for his soon-to-be-conversion-followers. E.g., any suggestions for improvements?
Thanks.

Calling EuroNavy. Need an update. On the verge of taking the turbo leap using your recipe (with the suggested mods). Any other changes you would suggest?

I can't stop thinking about this conversion for my 3.2. Does anyone know if Protomotive still does an 'off the shelf' kit? I have emailed them but haven't heard back.

It doesn't seem like anyone in the UK is going down the turbo route.

The Pelican Forum, Turbo section, has a plethora of conversion projects. Don't know if any from UK, though.
