@Reiver beat me to this one with his SC post, but here goes.
I love this car more and more. The more I drive it, the more I like it. However, I have realized that an attitude adjustment is necessary. This car is not a finished product, but a work in progress. Viewed this way, it is an incredible machine that will only get better.
Thoughts/learnings after 1 week:
1. If you can f@&# it up, you will. I was trouble shooting a leak that was certainly the drain tube from the Sunroof on the passenger side. Unzipped the liner and removed the panels. Saw water on the main tube and decided to try to tighten the tube. Hand slipped and liner tore at the zipper. So now I have a new project to budget for next year. Anyone have a great interior shop in Atlanta?
2. These cars love to drive, but most people don't drive them. Mine was clearly babied and never driven in the rain, as the leak will attest. I unclogged the tube by snaking my weedeater line up from the rear- the gunk in there suggests years of wax buildup and no driving in the rain.
3. Three point rear belts are not cheap. If you want a daily driver and have kids, go with the 1988 or later. I am sourcing belts and hardware from dismantlers.
4. Project list: From the PPI, not critical but planned:
New Oil Pressure Sender
New Shifter Bushings
New Cruise Control Cable
5. Other upgrades:
Recalibrate Speedo- it is WAY off.
New Floor Mats
Add 3 point rear belts
Swap out passenger racing seat for OEM seat so rear is accessible- Done!
Reattach right side engine hood strut
Replace tires
6. Money Spent: $28 for new Mirror Adjust **** and heater ****
