It is your car so the decision is ultimately yours.

Personally, I like the script decals.

To remove, you are best off using a hair dryer or very gently using a heat gun.
Heat the decal and pull gently.

Depending on how long the decals have been there, the paint could have faded and the decal image will remain until it fades as well.

I definitely want to fit a chin spoiler... and lower the car a little . Which brings me to my next question ...how difficult is it? It has bilstein shocks and someone told me it could be adjusted??

Thanks Scott, I think I will leave it well alone!

I've always liked the script decals but always wondered if they were an option for an '88 or just an after market option.

not difficult to lower:
front a single screw that adjusts the torsion bar, but you need to remove a rubber spacers on top of the shocks. Rear can adjust about 3/4 of an inch or so without messing with rear torsion bar. After need to do alignment of course. I think it is covered in 101 Projects for Your Porsche 911 1965-1989 [Paperback]

I agree a front spoiler and duck rear would look good

Yeehaaa!! thanks for the Lowering answer !.
I am Waiting for my 101 projects book to arrive ...my Wife has been a little tardy with her Amazon ordering and I can`t really say Sh*t to her as she has had to listen to me waffling on incessantly about the car since I bought it 6 weeks ago!
Can anyone refer me to someone who specializes in these air cooled 911`s in Los Angeles?
I will do the chin but I can`t do the Duck!..the roof line from the A pillar to the back bumper is my favorite part of the car

That is a pretty car, congrats. The coupe lines are classic and worthy of leaving alone, you may find some negetive feedback on just adding a chin spoiler alone without a rear spoiler of some variety. It upsets the balance of the car at highway speeds.
Lowering the car to euro ride height specs is pretty straight forward, but should be left to a qualified shop. It's easy to go to low and ruin the ride and handling as well as doing damage to the suspension.

I think with that color and body style, the decals are the best way to go.

Where in the LA area are you?
