If you wanted that type of car, it sure is a nice one.
My 951 is a super nice one, but it is not up in this league. Of course it is not exclusively a show car either. It does get driven, go to the track, and things like that. I would not want this car for me as it would be better served go to a semi collector or show type owner in my mind. But it does show what you can do with one.
As far as the price, I cant say on that. But I have seen the top turbos up in the $60,000 - 70,000 range, so maybe it goes in that range or a bit more to just the right owner. Nice anyway.

I love the color, but 90k no way. It will need some money spent on it once it is driven. And once it is driven much of the preceived value is lost. For that kind of money you could walk into your local Porsche dealer and leave with an almost new 911(if not new). Plus a factory warranty.

Agreed, anyone but a collector would ruin the "perceived" value.
However, if a someone with lots of money wanted a 911sc as a driver, but didn't want a "used" example, this would be a great car to fix up and wear in. Its nice to be the one to wear in your own car, just so long as the daily drop in value doesn't bother you too much!

I'm not trying to say it's not a nice car. I have an '84 and absolutely love it for what it is. I also probabably payed more for it than I should have, but it had some things going for it that I value specifically. I just think 90k puts you in a whole new league. I also don't have a 90 thousand dollar budget. If I did,I personally wouldn't spend it on this car. If someone else would,I'd be happy for them.

That certainly is a nice car, but the price is excessive for 12K mile and a partial respray, IMO. If that was truly a timecapsule car with 1000 miles or something, maybe, if that is what floats your boat.
My 993 came with original window sticker-cancelled check-and lots of paperwork too.....I'm not sure what that is all worth.

cool - I understand.....
I see quite a few old cars and the numbers I see of worth/value are shocking - I do not believe Porsche offers any car right now that is the same price as some older cars - the older cars are just worth more money and are appreciating whereas a new one would depreciate like a pile of burning $100 bills....
and saying that I am NOT implying this example is worth the asking price, but all it takes is one guy to think so.....

Great looking car. However for a true time capsule SC I would go as high as 60 to 65k. As Ed mentioned the partial respray alone is a turn off atleast for me. Honestly with 20 odd hours of detail work, I can get my 90k mile '86 coupe looking close to the SC posted for sale. A little patina of age on the drivers seat side bolster (not bad looking by any stretch of imagination) and the rock chips on the hood being the only difference between my 22k purchase and this 90k priced one.
