Question 79' 911 Targa Help???

I'm currently looking at a 79' 911 Targa (3.0 flat-six). The car has set up for @ 1 1/2 years. Since the car has been covered the body and interior are in surprisingly good shape. What are some things that I need to look out for regarding the year, model, etc..? Reasonable price suggestions???

Start with the FAQ's at the top of this page - I think there is one dedicated to the SC that Bill Gregory put together that is excellent. And speaking of 'excellent' (pardon the pun), get the most recent copy of EXCELLENCE (Aug '03 cover date). It lists the market update on the 1974-89 911 prices. And most important - get a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) by a competent Porsche mechanic. There are a LOT of dawgs out there that can be bodaciously expensive to make right. Good luck!
