Default What should I pay?

I looked at a 73 911T targa today. It is rust-free except for the battery boxes. Will need paint and interior work. Targa will also need some refurbishing. It is complete, but motor and transmission are out as there was a timing issue about 20 yrs ago. One head is off and I assume that I will have to do at least an upper end rebuild, if not a full one. It has always been a southern car and never modified. Very straight and solid. Will need paint.
So, what is it's value?

$400 to $40k a lot depends on what is there and knowing what condition it is in..not guessing...if all you can do is guess..then shoot low...real low

I would guess anywhere around 3K as it will surely require another 10K in repairs before it can even be driven ... providing it's not missing too many mechanical parts !

Cheers !
