Default New Carpet Installed

Got my new carpet in. I changed from beige to black. I'm just not a fan of light color carpeting. I can never keep it clean. Seems like I'm always getting grease on it or something.

I ordered the sliverknit kit from Bob @ Appbiz. Funny story, the installer called me and said that the front mats were not going to work. Somehow, I got mats for a right-hand drive automatic transmission. Bob took care of me and hooked me up with the correct mats in 3 days.

I didn't change out the carpet on the doors as I'm going with RS style door panels. I just haven't put them in yet.

Here are a couple of pictures...

Nice work! The black carpet works well with your interior color.

I have an Appbiz RS kit in my '87 and I am very pleased with it. Their customer service is great.

You will love the RSA door panels. I'm deleting my radio and am ordering a new set from Bob without the speaker holes.

Nice, looks great. 1stGear, have you had the dash recovered as well or is it original?

Thanks! As far as I know, the dash is original. It's been repaired, so that makes me think that it's the same one that was installed in '87. It's starting to crack again, so I'm going to have to get something done to it. I'd like to get an original, but I doubt I could find it in my color. Black would be fine by me, but it will mess up my color scheme I've got going.

Thanks for the kind words. I've been doing a little here and a little there for the last 2.5 years. Most of my money has gone into getting her in great driving/running order. I've just started putting a little into the cosmetics. I've wanted to do the carpet since day one!
