plug wires - OEM?

Question plug wires - OEM?
Purchased a set of Karlyn Ind Fyrebraid plug wires - billed as OEM. Unlike original, they do not have the plug wire grounding straps that are currently on my 82 911 sc. Is this an issue?

You may experience static on your radio without the braids. The Bosch CDI puts out a lot of spurious R.F.I.
(Ever notice the engine compartment lid is also grounded by a braided strap?)
