Question Recommended oil for 1980 911SC?

I use Redline 20/50 in my 83SC.Mobil One 15/50 is also a good oil for your SC.

Most German autos (VW, AUDI) run 20/50. So I would use 20/50 or x/50 oil.

I got the mobil 1 15/50, I'm lookin at the mobil 1 oil filter now, i thought i had the porsche filter around here somewhere but cant find it.

Stick with a Porsche filter or the Mahle OC54 filter. They have a relief valve built into the oil filter which others don't have. There's been discussion on this in Pano and reprinted in Up-Fixin' over the years.

The Mahle filter is a tiny bit longer than the Porsche filter, It makes removal a bit easier. Wish the nice red Per-260s were still available.
