Post '87 Carrera Cat. Conv. Bypass Issues?

On an '87 Carrera that I recently purchased, the catalytic converter was being bypassed with a straight pipe. To pass state inspection and emissions, I changed back to the cat. After passing inspection, I have changed back to the straight pipe. Since the pipe still contains the O2 sensor, is any DME adjustment needed (or possible) to take into consideration the pipe? Is there a detrimental component to running the pipe in place of the cat? The pipe is not overly loud and sound so very, very nice. Thanks. Dan

Dan,

The only thing the DME knows about the exhaust side of the engine is the O2 sensor. Since that's in place, all is well.
