I decided I would not be making it to any more DE this year. so pulled the front section of the cage out so I could get the hard shell targa top off. I dont drive it on the street much with the full cage and when HOT as it was this summer.

took seveal nice top-off drives last weekend, very pleasant weather. I love my 928 as a DD with a cold AC, but the 911 is still the ONE for FUN.

Scott,

Well we broke the record with 70 days of 100+ temps this summer but they say that is behind us now! My hot tub @ 104 is finally hotter than the outside air temperature.

I drove my 79 911SC Euro 1270 km last weekend during the 14th Annual Boxstoberfest event in Fredericksburg, TX. Odometer just turned 191,000 km. What a great car. We had 211 attendees in all kinds of Porsches. Even had a Ferrari and a couple of BMW Z8s. Excellent event!

Driving back to Dallas was like driving in an oven. Don't know why or where the heat was coming from but even the garage door opener clipped to the passenger footwell pocket was hot to the touch.

Now that its cooling down, lets drive!
