Ed, I just couldnt help but think about Ruby when I saw those shots of the 991 this morning minutes after it's official debut in the Frankfurt Auto show and I wanted to post the pics on that recent thread on the next gen model on this section...and much to my delightful surprise found that there was a thread on Ruby. So could'nt resist. And BTW, you very well know that my next P-car (which will probably not be due until my kids finish college which is over a decade from now) would indeed be a special one.

Ruf started adding ducks to some of their RGT's back a few years ago, and pulled it off very well.

Thanks for the pics Amar. That is pretty. That new 4.0 is really hot, and I'm kinda digging the Brumos edition as well as the Hurley Haywood editions. It seems Porsche is willing to have fun with their cars these days.

Looking forward to meeting Rennlisters at Rennsport!

Ed - we can now tease you about having a garage queen... Get out and drive that car! I can relate though - I have put less than 200 miles on the Speedster over the past 12 months, mainly because my 997 Cab has become my "do everything" car. As the fall weather kicks in, I plan to drive the Speedster exclusively for a few weeks... Can't wait...

And regarding the 991... I don't know what to think. I like it in pics - but seeing it in person will either make or break my day...

Porsche is making some of the most interesting cars now, across a very diverse lineup. And they keep hinting at a return to F1. More interesting cars ahead for sure, which will keep Porsche at the forefront of new technology. I think the new take on the duck tail is just fantastic.

WB, I just bought the truck used. It's in amazing condition with a brand new 454 big block, rebuilt tranny, all the towing package goodies, and antilock brakes. You just gave me an idea to take some time elapsed photos, which I'll post. I'll have to put the Porsche in there to keep it semi relavent.

When I had the spindles raised on my car, the collapsible spare would no longer fit. I tried it with a 12mm wheel spacer (I already had extended lug studs) and it fit just fine. I'm not certain it would clear big brakes, although my car does have 930 brakes. It might be worth a try.

Worth looking at, but 930 setups fit under smaller wheels.
