Unhappy Chain Costs

We are pretty sure it is the chain that is causing the car to have a very bad sound. (sounds like a rod knock) We figure it is not a rob bearing because we put 20/50 and thickner in the motor and it did not quiet down one bit. SO when I do go to an autoshop-non dealer how much am I looking to pay if I have my own parts?

What are the parts I need?
Carrera upgrade kit (on Pelican)
?
?
?

thanks all

Hello

You need splitet chains, rails ramps, chain gears on cam and idler arm. Maybe the gears on the intermediade shaft are so worn that you have to renew them as well. Thats spliting the case.

Have a real expert listen to the engine and maybe do a testrun as noise are hard to descripe but can have various reasons.

It will bug you if you renewed all the stuff and the noise is still around.

Grüsse
