Default window problem?

The passenger window on my 82 911SC will raise with both the driver and passenger control, but will not go down?? Occasionally if I giggle the switch enough, I can get it to go down. What is the problem, and how do I fix it??

I would say you have a bad switch, or the connection on the rear of the switch is loose.
Had the same issue with my Benz.
Contacts in the switch had gotten burned.
Solution was a new switch.

I suggest swapping out the drivers side switch with passenger switch to see if it repeats the problem. My 88 Carrera left switch was not working , so I did the swap. It didn't work either. But the left switch worked on the passenger side. That told me that both switches were OK. I removed the left door panel and found the motor on the window wouldn't do anything. As usual , I like to check things out, so I lightly tapped the motor with my small brass hammer and tried it again. Voila, it started working.
