its always hard to tell colour from pics. I think Colour changes are always extremely expensive and difficult to do right as you have noticed. You better be sure befoe you decide and is a very personal choice .. not for polls

Default Brown..not black

Another day of taking stuff apart. We figured out (one of the) previous owners did not like what he bought. Not only did he re-paint the outside, but the inside also had to suffer a complete makeover...

Original color used to be a light brown, and all panels, dash, mid console etc are been painted black!

For the engine, we are not able to find a engine no at the bottom left Any suggestions? (see picture) Thanks!

We bought the car from a retired state trooper.... The serial number of the car is real and not tempered with. We had several government workers look at it and an inspection from customs before crossing the border.

For the engine number, the number has not been removed, its just not there....I did read something about a replacement housing being available. Will do some more research and let you know!

It for sure turned into an even more interesting project!

Yeah who knows eh. Called Porsche Vancouver and they will try to see if there is any info available. Also mailed the previous owner today and asked him. He got the car for about 5-6 years and knew about the exterior color change. He mentioned a name a while ago of a previous PCA North west director/member from Seattle who owned it before him for about 10 years. He now owns a 930. See if I get his name as some of you 911 guru's know him.

I am getting very curious about this car!

Had a board meeting with Sam and I guess we are going for all original. Kind of surprised me an 11 year old prefers brown before red......

Guess we are in the market for a cork interior....
