I've been using blue Locktite 242 on all the tin hardware and rear mounts. should I switch or is this ok? Ain't no way I'm undoing what I've done.

Driver's side tin and throttle linkage are in with all related rubber plugs and brackets in place. Now using silver anti-seize.

While you can see some of the rough texture along the outer edge by the two bolts, it really doesn't look bad.

Beautiful work, DB. You should advertise your repainting service in the CL thread.

I see some of your work in that picture. As soon as I get this all back together I'll box up all your things that are on loan and get it back to you. I've got a massive Randy Leffingwell book you are going to love, along with a couple others I'm sending your way.

Got all the tins in now. That anti-seize gets everywhere.

Actually went over the top to get the one by the oil cooler. Took off the AFM and filter box since I'm gonna send the AFM back to Rusnak anyway. What a pain getting the hoses to line up with the notches in the tin.

Swapped the AFM, installed the driver's side shock, clear coated a bunch of bolts and the motor mounts, painted the lid light, then opened up the back of my leg with the wire wheel I was using on my muffler. I'm at the hospital waiting for a tetanus shhot. X10

Anyway, I was polishing the rust off my muffler. Came home and went right back at it. The bottom half has been cleaned and re-cleaned with the brush and with mineral spirits. Looks great in flat black now. The straps even cleaned right up.

Omg I would hope that the grinder was like my wimpy Skill, and not like the beastly Dewalt. Your leg would look like you've got one leg turned into a collapsible spare tire, haha!

Don't know how this fits into this project, but I stripped, painted, clear coated, lubed, and re-installed the light and did the same minus paint to the striker.

More to show but I'm also the family taxi.

Heat exchange crossover pipe was virtually spotless.

The straps at $30 and $40 are well on there way to being revamped. I did have to drill out the old bolts, but they are cleaning up nicely. No way I'm gonna spent that kind of money right now.
