How many miles are on your 89? Bushing job takes a bit of time to do.... It will save you some time if you do it all at once.... Then you may want to powder coat some parts, put new seal on the calipers, change some brake lines, lower it a bit, put some bump steer bushings, upgrade to turbo rods, put anti tire rub spacers, rebuild the brakes..... Ok, just do the shocks and call it a day or two.

1 weekend to do the frontend
1 weekend to do the rear
Spend the money and time to do it all at once, and it will feel like a new car.
